Follow us as we share our aikido training with the world. Lenny Sly sensei started his aikido training in 1988 at the Chicago aikikai under the direction of Kevin Choate Shihan. Sly sensei spent 16 years training in traditional aikido before he transitioned to Steven Seagal's methodology which sly sensei branded as TenShin Aikido. From 2003 to currently: Sly sensei is a direct student of Jorge Angulo Shihan as well as being his highest ranking student to date. Angulo Shihan is a senior student of Steven Seagal Shihan and has been since 1990. Sly sensei spent seven years training Seagal shihan's methodology under Larry Reynosa Shihan. Within those Seven years he also spent time training with Seagal Shihan's top student Hauro Matsuoka Shihan.
